A Practical Guide to Different Massage Styles

Traditional Thai, relaxation, deep tissue and why each style suits different goals.

Different massage styles exist because people book for different reasons. Someone under heavy work stress usually needs a different treatment from someone dealing with stubborn shoulder tightness or post-gym fatigue.

Traditional Thai massage is known for pressure work, stretching and assisted movement. It suits clients who want mobility, a sense of release through the body and a treatment that feels active rather than purely passive.

Relaxation massage is gentler and slower. It is usually the better option when the main goal is calm, reduced stress and a full-body reset rather than focused corrective work.

Deep tissue massage is more targeted. It is best when discomfort is concentrated through areas like the neck, shoulders, lower back or legs. Pressure should still be controlled and skilled, not simply hard for the sake of it.

The right style depends on the outcome you want. The useful question is not “which massage is best?” but “what does my body need right now?”
